Christmas pics 2009

I have been so bad about updating my blog so I am going to start to catch things up. These are some of my favorite shots from the kids' Christmas pictures at Olan Mills. They had so much fun and I so love the picture of Jasmine laughing. She has such a great personality and it just shows right through in that picture.

My favorite one of Justin is him holding Jasmine because it shows what a sweet and loving personality he has with that touch of seriousness that he gets from his Daddy!

Then who does not love the pics where they look like they are against each other a little, but you can tell they will always have each other's backs! Love those babies!

Dress Up at Grandma's

This was so cute, I just had to post it. My mom has saved all of my old prom dresses, dresses from weddings, graduation gowns and whatever else and put it in a big dress up box. The kids have so much fun playing in them and they love knowing that they are clothes that we have actually worn. This is Jasmine all dressed up like a princess, gloves, tiara and the works. She loves playing dress up at Grandma's house!

4th of July with friends

Here are some pictures from 4th of July at our friends' Roger and Marshelle's home. They were so kind to invite us to their family event and we had such a great time. This game that they are playing is called Corn hole, but of course, being Roger and Shelley, it is "Corneyhole!" Steve and I definitely need some practice. It is harder than it looks!!
You'll also notice the restrooms for the evening. Roger and Shelley are just so much fun and they love joking around.

The kids were excited about the giant sparklers and meeting new friends. They all gathered around when the firecrackers were being lit. There was good food, good company and lots of fun.

Then it was time for fireworks. I got some great pics of the homemade fireworks show that I'm sure was better than they had at the mall. It was an up close and personal show and it was awesome!

Thanks again Roger and Shelley! We had a blast!

Jasmine turns 5 years old.

Jasmine was all excited about her birthday this year. Turning 5 is such a big deal. She gets to go to school next year and is able to get her own library card. for her birthday party, she told Grandma that she wanted to have a Bahama Party so Grandma hooked her right up. She had a Princess Jasmine cake because she wanted princesses on her cake and then she got to dress up like a hula girl. We took a few pictures of her "shaking her grass." She thought it was so much fun. She was also excited that Miss Christy and her kids, Jordan, Hunter and Brooke came over to join us in the festivities.

The kids all got leis when they came in and everyone got to drink orange fizzy drinks out of tiki cups. They all had a really great time and Jasmine was definitely excited. After the party formailities were over the kids played outside and then came in to play in Grandma's dress up box. That is always a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday Jazz pants! You are such a big girl now and we love you very much!

Pre-Party with our Bahama Papa!

Unfortunately Papa was not going to be home for Jasmine's birthday party because he had to leave early for work. So, we had a pre-party just with Papa so that he could share in the special Bahama birthday party for Jasmine. He wore his own hula girl shirt and made faces at Jasmine while we all sang Happy Birthday and gave her some special presents. Jasmine always gets so excited when we drive by Mom and Dad's and she sees Papa's truck. She always yells, "Papa's home!" She does love her Papa!

Riding Kamal

Jasmine was so excited. She has been waiting so long for her birthday to come around. She knew that she was going to go to Ms. Christy's house and ride a horse. Here are some pictures of Jasmine riding Kamal. Kamal is a horse that my friend Christy and her family adopted from a rescue league and she is just beautiful!

Christy's daughters, Jordan and Brooke are also in the pictures. Jordan led Kamal around while Jazz was riding and then Jasmine and Brooke rode together. And of course I had to get a picture of Jazz giving Kamal a kiss! Thanks so much Christy. Jasmine is already looking forward to making this a birthday tradition!
